Cracker, My Baby

You were always the best pet,
And the truest of a friend,
But something went wrong,
And our friendship had to end.

I tried to make it better,
But sorry I was too slow,
You died in my arms that night,
Why did you have to go?

I rubbed your belly,
And gave you a kiss goodbye,
But since you left me,
All I do is cry.

Oh Cracker, my birdie,
You were everything to me,
There’s nothing good left,
I’m very lonely.

No more shoulder buddy,
No more sweet conure kiss,
Of any pet I’ve lost,
It’s you I will miss.

Life really sucks now,
It was so hard to say goodbye,
I always said I could live without you,
But that was the biggest lie.

Without you here,
There’s no more fun,
No way to cope,
My life is done.

I’ll still be here,
But I’m not really alive,
My heart has been broken,
I’m so dead inside.

A hollow shell,
Of what used to be,
Without your love,
I’ll never be happy.

So I sit here and pray,
That you flew god’s way,
That there you’ll stay,
Until I see you again someday!

Memories

From the time I saw you at the store, I knew you were the one, so I hoped and prayed that you would be mine. I visited you every week until I could get you. We were close.

From your first night home until the night you died, you were the best pet ever. You meant so much to me. Playing with you was a routine for me.

Of all the cool things you could do, I'll miss the way you threw kisses, your snorting, and the way you'd say "Cookie".

You were quite a character and I miss you so much!!!

I'll never be as happy as I was when I had you here with me!
