December 24, 2005 ~ Missed By: Dr Ted Lafeber
The World's Most Wonderful Green Wing and Office Companion
Every morning at 7:30 am, a shattering scream would echo through the bird room. It was time for Beau to work in Dad's office. Dutifully, I would bring Beau upstairs to my office, even on Sundays. We would spend hours together, sometimes quietly, sometimes dancing, sometimes just goofing. Beau enjoyed tasting and throwing all of the new Lafeber products. His opinions were always clearly known. At 2:30 pm, every afternoon, Beau would release another shattering scream, many times nearly giving me a near heart attack and generally suprising anyone on the phone. Beau's work day was done. He was ready to go back to the bird room and rest after a long day.
As I write this, even though he has been gone for more than two years, I greatly miss his gentle soul.
