My Pookie-Do
Dearest Lexy,
It has been over four years since we said goodbye and I still can hardly bring myself to say your name or think of the day you passed. You were my shining star, my special boy, and I loved you more than you will ever know. You had the most wonderful way of making the ordinary seem spectacular, and I'll never forget the way your little eyes would light up when you saw something new, or even something old that you liked. Your sense of wonder was something I had never seen in a cockatiel, that's what made you so special. If I could have kept you here forever I would have moved Heaven and Earth to do so. I miss you so much!
