How did Baby Dude get his name?

I didn't know whether he was a male or female, so at first I called him "Baby".

I had another parakeet name Dareheart, who was 6 months older than Baby, and he talked all the time.

I would say, "Where is Baby, where is Dareheart?" One day Dareheart said, "Where is "BABY DUDE"? So he was named for me, and fortunately he was indeed a male.

Alex also misses Baby Dude.very much.....

Alex (2.5 yrs) is an English budgie and he misses Baby Dude (9 yrs.) very much.

Baby Dude and Alex were usually sitting very close to each other. They were good friends, and enjoyed each other very much. Alex was always following Baby Dude inside and outside of the cage.

Baby Dude loved to preen the feathers on Alex's head and neck, especially after a molt.

Alex doesn't feel like doing much these days. He likes to stay in the cage most of the time. I hope he will be feeling better soon, so he can enjoy a new friend.
