I didn't know we were spending our last moments together this New Year's Eve. You snuggled just a little more tightly with your warm fuzzy little head as if you knew it would be our last. The vet's hands couldn't be guided to save you from the egg that was stuck in you. I never got a chance to say goodbye and you were gone. Along with you, you took my heart. I hope that someday it will be possible to smile again when we think of you. You have made our lives more rich and beautiful by having you as our precious companion.
